MyEtherWallet (MEW)
-a step by step guide-
The wallet that I use for Ethereum and any ERC 20 tokens is MyEtherWallet (MEW). I like secure and think that any paper wallets are the cheapest and most secure way to store any currency.

Once you have made it through the mini tutorial and are on the main page I strongly suggest that you DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET! Disconnecting will ensure that no one can get their hands on your private key. Once you have disconnected make sure you are not online by opening another window and going to any site.

Once you have entered a password and clicked Create New Wallet a screen will come up asking you to save your “keystore file”. This file can be used to open your wallet from the computer you are using only. Don’t lose it and never use it on another site.

Clicking on “I understand. Continue” will bring you to your Private Key.
Here it will prompt you to print your Paper Wallet.

Checking The Balance of Your MyEtherWallet
To check the balance of your MyEtherWallet simply:
1. Click View Wallet Info at the top of the MEW screen.
2. Select View w/ Address Only
3. Type or paste your PUBLIC KEY into the box
4. Click View Balance
This will allow you to see how much Ethereum or ERC-20 Tokens [ie. TRON (TRX)] your wallet is currently holding.

If a printer is not an option then you can save your wallet as a pdf file. I actually recommend doing both. Remember, backing up your wallets a few times is best.
This is your paper wallet. #1 will be your public key and #2 will be your private key.
DO NOT LOSE THESE KEYS.
Losing these keys means losing your money. So write them down. Store the printout. Back up the pdf file.
Once you have saved your keys in a secure location you are finished making your Ethereum Paper Wallet! Congratulations!!!
Sending Ethereum or ERC-20 Tokens
Sending Ethereum or Tokens from your MyEtherWallet is fairly easy. You can send it online or offline. Because it is easier and quicker I will show you how to send your currency using the online method. TIP: It's a good idea to check your computer for viruses or malware before getting involved with CryptoCurrency.
Once you get the hang of using MEW sending offline is very easy. Just follow the directions on your screen when sending. I have used the online send option many times with great success.

1. You first need to click Send Ether & Tokens at the top of your MEW dashboard.

2. Once you're into the send online section you can select the Private Key Option. (If you are on the computer that you saved your Keystore / JSON file to, you can also use that option.)
3. Type or paste the PRIVATE KEY for your wallet.
4. Click Unlock.

1. Type or Paste the PUBLIC KEY of the wallet you are sending to into the box.
2. Select the type of Currency you want to send. Ethereum or Tokens that you own.
3. Type the amount you wish to send or click Send Entire Balance to send everything you have.
4. Click Generate Transaction to continue.
(The gas limit is what is paid to miners to verify your transaction on the blockchain. The minimum is already entered when you are sending ETH. When sending tokens the amount is edited depending on the amount you are sending. Either way, you shouldn't need to worry about this box.)
The final step is to generate the transaction. By clicking Generate Transaction you will be moving on to the final step.

Clicking Send Transaction will bring up a confirmation window. Make sure to double check that you are sending to the correct PUBLIC ADDRESS. If everything looks correct check it again... Just to be sure. Then click confirm and wait.
Sending Ethereum and ERC-20 Tokens are usually very quick. You should be able to see the balance increase immediately at the address you sent to.
The first time you visit the site a guide should pop up explaining some useful info about Ethereum and Myetherwallet.com. If this is all new to you I recommend reading each prompt.
The first step is to go to Myetherwallet.com to create a wallet.
TIP: Make sure you are on the official MyEtherWallet.com. To the left of the address bar, a Green lock will appear when you are visiting the correct site.
If you are truly turned off; then, and only then, go back to the Myetherwallet site. The first step is to create a strong password that you won’t forget. A secure password should have a combination of capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. The more of these that you mix into your passwords the better.
